timing set?
Ok I have all the parts for my motor, all forged bottom end, cc306, ported stock heads, ported intake with hiden fogger setup set for a 150 shot. I still need a timing set but they are insainly priced I dont want to spend $300-$500 on a set. What are my options? I have heard if your runnig an electric water pump you can use a standard roller set, if this is true i may do that.

If you convert to an electric water pump and convert to a vented optispark, you can run any SBC (with the Cloyes 3145 being the most popular) timing chain, including double-rollers. You'll need a slew of other parts as well, mostly for the opti. Is it a worthwhile swap? Absolutely.
Other than that, your option is extremely limited to a stock-type set (for the spline drive opti).-Joe-

pcm is fine, well mine was a 94 an it was. opti, opti harness. a lil vacuum line, and timing chain cover. while ur in there delete ur water pump drive might have to pull the intake to knock it out, ewp and ewp harness, and to plug ur tc cover.

You need:
95 GM Optispark 1104032
95 Opti elec harness 12130319
Opti vacuum harness 12555323
Opti vacuum fitting 14082470
95 Timing cover 12552426
GM timing cover gasket 10128293
Water Pump Gaskets (2 required) 10128343
LT1-specific electric water pump (CSI/Meziere)
New camshaft with the deeper, wider pilot hole to engage the optispark snout (your 306 cam has this)
Cloyes 3145 timing set
The stock PCM will work fine.-Joe-

I have a 94 caprice lt1 motor with basically the same mods as above (350 though) and different cam. So all I would need is the actual timing chain set and gaskets correct?
