Any gym rats in here?
What does everyone do for a routine when they're at the gym?
My routine mainly consists of the five basic growth exercises
1.Squats
2.Benchpress
3.Shoulderpress
4.Lats (Pull ups)
5.Deadlifts
I'll usually pair one of the lesser exercises with a growth exercise. Like Triceps with bench, biceps with lats, abs with deadlifts, etc. I also have a preworkout drink I use, PM if you want more info (Low post count will make me look like a spammer)
How about everyone else?

I go a few days a week. I usually do 20 minutes of cardio on the bike or elliptical, 40 minutes of weightlifting (heavy 10 reps or less), and about 15 minutes in the sauna.
Ive got hardware in both knees so extended running or heavy squating is out of the question.Bryan

50 min on the elliptical 3 times a week, gym 3 times a week. sunday not a damn thing lol
what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that allow me to do with things that would be a nightmare for people like you.

Gym rat here, but not all year long. My job is a lot of cardio so during the summer I try not to beat the crap out of myself in the gym too much. I lift heavy from Jan til May/June then I coast the rest of the year trying to maintain what I have.

well, ive been going 4x a week, started to do 5 now, 5th being just cardio. first 4 days is basically an hour of supersets, so bicep curls, tricep pressdowns, the skip rope for a minute. i have a day of chest/back exercises, legs, arms, then overall conditioning. all done with a 60 second cardio interval. i've built muscle, now just focusing on leaning out. after the hour sesh of lifting and whatnot, i'm doing more cardio for 40 min. goal is about 15% body fat.

Ive been working out for about 4 years now. I go Monday-Friday. I used to do it for body building, not to compete, but rather just for myself. Ive taken every supplement known to man, and just use my select few now. Right now im currently at 6ft/200lbs @ 10% body fat, and im happy at this point. @ my biggest and strongest I was @ 240lb at around 15% body fat. You think the car modding game is an exspensive hobby, try body building! YIKES! One thing I like to just state is nomatter the supplement, be educated on it before taking. Anyone have any progress pictures? I like seeing real life transformations.

There is a such thing as too much exercise. After about an hour of working out real hard, you body has just had enough. Things to consider in your work out.
1. DIET! DIET! DIET!....you dont lose weight until you cut the calories.
2. Exercise an hour - hour 1/2 instead of three
3. Your body needs rest, and time to heal. So make sure you get plenty of sleep.
4. Start throwing some weights into your routine.
Also don't get discouraged. If your not extremely overweight, you might not notice the weight loss, or results as fast as someone else. Another thing to remember is that everyone's body is different. You might gain/loss faster than your friend, etc.
Supplements To consider
A good whey protein. Key is to have 1 gram of protein per body pound. There are so many benefits to protein, that you should read up on.
I use Dymatize Nutrition - flavor would be your choice. I think cookies and cream is the best though.
Nitric Oxide - Pre workout supplement that will give you great energy and concentration. I also like it because the magnesium in it helps promote a better rest/recovery.
I use Superpump250 - Fruit Punch or Tropical Punch are the best IMO.-Harold

Oh, Im over weight. Ive been wanting to start lift weights but my one freind who does was goign to show me what to do and everything ended up being sick the past few weeks. I actually got him to start going again because I was bugging him to go play ball , being that he was the one that got me into it in the first place.
I get enough sleep. I havent worked in 8 months lol. I walk at least 2-4 miles a day on campus then go to the gym at night. Stop eating out. Down to hardle any soda or coffee. Maybe once or twice a week with some Beam while I am writing papers. Eating more fruit and all that jazz. I can def do more than when I first started but the weight is still there. A few pounds every few weeks. You see all these people on tv working out and what not loosing 10-15 pounds a week and you get motivated and then its just not realistic.
Heres to looking good while being overweight lol
