Weak Link
So, what's the weak link of the 10 bolt? Carrier-Ring&Pinion-"inner axles"-axle tubes? Any information would be lovely...

When I got my Z I was LT1 stupid... got shorties, not mid's... lol

It's the dinky 7.625" ring gear. You can throw all the parts you want at the 10 bolt (hardened axles, eaton posi, etc.) but that tiny ring gear will hold you back.

10 bolt period? All though I was cutting 1.4x 60 fts and never broke mine before upgrading.

I just hate the price of an upgraded axle... $2800+ befables the crap out of me. But I guess everything comes with a price. I'll run what I got for now and wait out one for a good price.
