Opti Rotor?? car running like crap and a rattle

Just fired over the camaro after like a month and it dies, then putters on second attempt to start, then runs like it is cammed. Then I blip the throttle and hear a rattle coming from the front of the motor. I take off the serp belt to see if it is the tensioner. Go to restater, wont fire over. Aver muchg cranking it fires up and runs like shit and still has rattle. I think the opti rotor is on the way out... maybe??

Maybe. How old is the fuel? Ethanol settles to the bottom of the tank after about a month... Did you work on it recently? Is the MAF sensor plugged in? Are there any vacume leaks? Did it run fine when you parked it? I highly doubt the rotor has come loose after sitting.

I am speed ensity, so no MAF. Checked all the vacuum ports. It ran fine but was developing a miss. There is rattle near the water pump. It is clear as day. I am going to tear into it. I have a MSD opti and i have read the rotor screws can come loose. I may go LTCC or Delteq at this route. I also may go 6.0 Iron block LSx with Ls3 intake/heads, cammed, other goodies... LTx is getting tedious..

hey now, hey now buddy dont dog the ltx lol. they just have an attitude, im sure u know that. just pet her and tell her shes a pretty girl and it will fire right up. works every time haha! but anyway this miss it was developing could have been the opti and since u have one on hand u might as well change it. put new fuel in it or add some fuel treatment at least. im sure we can get it all figured out, ltxtech is the best.

Got her on my lift today. Bumper is off to mount the HID ballasts. Wheels are off to bleed the brakes after ABS delete is done. AS fo the original problem, the OPTI was fine, but I did loctite the rotor screws. Still dont know where the rattle came from. I had no codes so I am at a loss.. ICM, Coil ??? HELP!!
