Man shoots Congresswoman and 17 others in a Grocery Store

I'm sure most of you heard about it on the news, but it happened a few miles from my house and it's definitely going to be the talk of the town for quiete awhile. The asshole ended up killing 5 people including a 9-year daughter of a L.A. Dodgers scout. Giffords is still in critical condition but is expected to live. The bullet entered one side of her head and came out the other - reports were originally saying she was dead at the scene, but somehow she survived.

The Pima County Sheriff's office, who first took Loughner into custody, said he ran into the crowd of a constituent meet-and-greet Giffords was holding at a local grocery store. Once he reached Giffords, who is believed to have been his target, Loughner shot a total of 19 people. Six of the shots were fatal.

Pima County Sheriff Charles Dupnik said an injured female bystander tried to keep Loughner from loading a second magazine into his gun. While she was unsuccessful, two men grabbed and tackled Loughner before he was able to shoot another 31 bullets.

Philosophy of a suspected killer?

In a series of disjointed thoughts, videos on a YouTube account registered to a Jared Lee Loughner of Tucson, AZ, take aim at the national government and refer to a "new currency."
A 22-year-old man of the same name was taken into custody Saturday afternoon by Arizona authorities following the shooting of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and 18 other individuals at a Tucson grocery store.

A bystander was able to apprehend Loughner on the scene of the shooting, preventing him from killing more people, authorities said.

"We're not convinced he acted alone," said Pima County Sheriff Spokesman Clarence Dupnik. "[We have reason to believe] he came to the event with another individual."

In one video registered under the username ClassItUp10, the user said he's aware that government officials and "the people" are listening.

"Nearly all the people who don't know this accurate information of a new currency aren't aware of mind control and brainwash methods," he wrote. "If I have my civil rights, then this message wouldn't have happen."

"He could, probably would have shot other people had he not been tackled," Dupnik said.

Dupnik said it's a possibility Loughner would have taken his own life had he had the opportunity. There was no exchange of fire, as no security is used for this type of event.

The weapon was identified by the FBI as a Glock 9 mm handgun, which was purchased in November 2010 at a Sportsman's Warehouse in Tucson.

That's a terrible thing to happen, I feel bad for the parents of the 9 year especially. I feel bad for all the families, but that kid didn't do any thing to any one in her entire life. Such a bright future cut so short. Those Westboro people in my eyes do some good though it's not their intention. As crazy as it sounds, so long as people in this country hate them as much as they do, I see we still have some sense and compassion left in this country. The day they are excepted, is the day you have to worry. I really don't even wish they get harmed, I hope they live long in their miserable existence, they are sorry ass people and I really want other people to see that.
