Default Quench trench cut in heads

    Quench Trench cut in heads?

Interesting read sent to me by a buddy. Sorry for the links.

Claims to reduce ping/detonation at higher compression and/or boost levels. Typically allow a full point on compression on pump gas and 4 to 5 psi on boosted applications.

    Discuss.

And a link to a discussion in another forum.

what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that allow me to do with things that would be a nightmare for people like you.

I found that interesting but I'm not sure if it would work. That article was from 2006 and i would have thought somebody would have made a big deal about it by now if it made a big difference. I also noticed that the one guy mentioned that it was used on a 383 lt1.
