Instead of picking parts and guessing HP, pick your goals (HP/ET) first, THEN choose your parts.

    Who is porting the heads?
How do you know you need 30# injectors?
What are you doing for a bottom end?
    Why only 1.5 rockers?

IMO, get a heads/cam package from AI (www.advancedinduction.com) and let them supply you with the parts you need. LE is also an option.

A.I. is good and all but i swear if i had a bad window motor some people would tell me to send it to A.I. and have them port it and it will work better. Ur prob right around 400hp

Not sure what you guys' problems is, I recommended two good head porters, not just one. LE is recommended just as much as AI.

And just because you have ported heads and a 306 cam doesn't mean you know anything either, especially since you don't even provide any results, be it ETs, HP, dynos, etc.

Lol@ dave. Of corse your gonna get the AI and LE comments. Those are the 2 biggest hitters out there known for producing good results. Its just the same as the SPOHN suspention nut swingers.
    To the op...
Either head will get the job done. If you have the $ get some nice
Afr 195 or 210s. Depending on your goals. Figure that out 1st. Then do your parts shopping.

i clearly said i dont know anything guess u missed that one. go back an check threads ive posted in, u will see that i also recommend AI or LE im not more partial to one or the other like them both equally i will not post links to one an not the other i always post both links. My car has been on a dyno an has been down a track. My combo is perfect right now on my somewhat stock bottom end for what im doing. My 383 will have a different set up an id never throw stock castings AI or LE ported or not. The only thing that aggravates me is every thread on here has a AI link in it acting as if there no other person on the face of the earth can port a head an have similar results yes with there CNC program its hard to beat, but local shops can meet ppls goals or better as well

and i completely understand Joe you are having great results with AI an ur car is movin so u support them more then any other. But i hate how ppl act like there are no other options.

Wow someone soft skinned? If you go back and read I said @ dave reguarding his ai and window motor comment.

I know everyone nut swings off ai or le heads. And your right its hard to compete with a cnced head like ai puts out... But there are thing you just can't do with a cnc like you can hand porting. I have a guy back home in ohio who does awesome work on heads. Did my lt heads. They are = to an. Le1. I'm actually looking for another set to send him for a major port job and a 2.95 sc pulley.

Its just common fact someone askes who does good lt head work and 99.999% of the time your gonna get le or ai for an answer because they are the 2 main stream lt head porters. Fact if people go with what's known rather then taking a chance of having a local shop do it.

chris my post wasnt directed to you. i understand i Ive stated on a few threads i recommend AI or LE depending on ppls goals. I have been in the lt1 world a while now an am completely aware. what LE does is a work of art that very few ppl can do, AI's results have been great with there CNC program. But like i said there are other options and far from soft skinned just realize not everyone wants to drop 1900 bucks or more on stock castings and a cam.

Totally agree with ya there on the 1900 +/- $ on stock castings is a lot.
