if u pull the vacuum line on ur brake booster, u will have a huge cam and it wills sound really fast.

ever heard the saying buying a cam for sound is like having sex with a blow up doll?

Have you seen some of those dolls.? I seen the "real dolls" on hbo years ago. Damm crazy. Also 5k + $$$$

To the op. Just get a cc306 its good enough for 75% of the lt1 people.

Duration and LSA contribute to the "Muscle car sound" So the more duration and LSA the more lope, The more duration the more the power band moves up the ladder. If you want some good power and sound without spinning to the upper RPM's then get a custom grind, Call Bullet cams or whoever and get like a 224-230 but have it cut on a 108-110 LSA and you will have some good bottom end fun and the sound you want..

i want it to perform well. after this engine blows it will become a forged 355. my car has 135,000 on it, oil has about 40 psi idle and jumps to 60+ when i give it gas, i wanted to do a AI setup but i dont have near the money for that. idk i might just go with the 503cc again. as for exhaust it will be longtubes with dual pipes to bullets or something along that line of muffler. thanks for the help

I recently had an AI 226/234 cam installed and it makles really good all around power without having to spin it too much. Here's an idle clip with Hooker long tubes, Hooker ORYP and GMMG.

Black 1996 Z28, 32K miles, 6 spd, AI 224/226 cam, Comp valve train, long tubes, ORYP, GMMG. All polished with Enkei WIN wheels.

^^^I have the Lloyd elliot version of that cam and i love it, pulls good from about 2200 on up and sounds pretty good at idle, check the vid, idle is set to 900
