Default 1.5 stock rockers to 1.7 Roller rockers

Well I'm looking at 1.6RR today and seen there are 1.7RR for the SBC and got to thinking if I am going to change the the springs why not get them good for a 1.7RR i mean it adds more lift to the cam but isn't a huge amount to where i think the stock LT1 heads would hold em back.

So what do you guys think?
Doing that and the LS1 Lid with some DR's and see how much it helps

I have 1.7's with stock heads and the cc503 cam. I had 1.65's but they were crazy noisy and got a heck of a deal on the 1.7's so i went that route.

dyno numbers saying going from 1.6rr to 1.7rr gave him 15 HP so going from 1.5 non roller to 1.7 should be nice upgrade

I would not have an issue going to 1.7s mainly since you
stated spring change........ Hp increase should be an additional 5-7 hp out back.
Valve cover mods should not be needed going from the 1.6 to 1.7

Well gonna have to change to a hardened push rod anyways so I'll get them measured so everything is good.
