    Default ewp failure circuit

is there a better diagram for a ewp fail circuit. i know a triangle is a diode and the zig zag is a resistor. but what i'm not getting is where the leds are getting the + and - . in the diagram i found they look like they have them both going to ground and isn't clear, at least to me as to there placement in the circuit

what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that allow me to do with things that would be a nightmare for people like you.

Are you talking about this diagram?

^ The diagram you linked (RamAir) is much better than the other ones I've seen. Although, this one doesn't include the buzzer.

Has anyone wired directly according to this diagram with success? I didn't have any warning lighting on mine, and I'm considering re-wiring it while my motor is out.

I wired my meziere HD up EXACTLY like that diagram. Used 1k ohm resistors for both led's. Seems to work fine. If the fuse blows, the one led goes on, if the ground is removed the other will go on. Both seem to work fine. I homemade my harness with a fuse/resistors/relay and everything. Im actually planning on removing the pump and wiring to install another mech. pump as i really have a nervous feeling about having a elec pump now. The harness is nothing pretty but it works as described. Pm me if you want some info.

I have a Meziere electric pump and even though I trust it and it's not a daily driver, I would feel so much better having a safety device such as this. I'm just too ignorant to know how to do an electronic circuit like this. I really wish an aftermarket company would come up with a plug and plawiring harness like this!

    So...question on the diagram.

The diagram calls for 1K (probably) resistors next to the LED's. Is this assuming an LED by itself, and the 1K resistor is for the LED? I bought LED's with a built in resistor circuit from the Shack (Radio Shack).
Please let me know if the resistor has to stay or if it can go, just need to know the intention of the 1K resistor (why it's there).
