clutch packs slipping
so...ive got a stock 2002 trans-am ive had the car for about 6 years and have had the transmision rebuilt once 4 years ago and put new axel shafts and rear wheel bearings in it about 2 years ago...now its starting to give me more problems...
what its doing
running in a straight line i have no problems and it makes no sounds no matter what speed im going...but when i make a turn (the tighter the turn the worse it is) its more of a clunking sound than a grinding and it feels like the inside tire is jumping like it would running over say a rumble strip and if its a hard say 10mph turn you can hear the inside tire squeal everynow and then like its not turning like it should...could this be the clutch packs in the lsd sticking and if so how hard is it to fix
thanks for any and all help

sounds like you have a problem in the carrier, I had a chipped tooth on a side gear causing that same problem,

Best thing you can do is jack up the back end with the rear hanging, pull the cover, and check the gears to see if you can see any issues. You can also check for bits-n-chunks while you're at it.

True if the fluid was changed and you didnt use the additive it will make sounds just like you have a locker. But if its never been touched chances are theres a prob.
