    Default LS1 Swap

    Hey guys,

Starting my first legitimate project on this car and I want to make sure a few things are clear before I go blow all my cash. I've already got the spindles, hubs, and calipers and now I just have to buy the pads, rotors and lines. For the pads and rotors I'm pretty set on the Hawk HPS/Powerslot combo though Strano is currently having a sale on some racing brake rotors that I might splurge on. Anyone have experience with those rotors? And does anyone know if the "cryo-treated" powerslots are worth the extra $30/rotor over the regulars? Otherwise I'm a bit confused on the lines. I really don't want to bend any brackets and I'd like to get SS lines so does anyone have any recommendations as to what I should go with? Apparently LT1, LS1, and C5 brake lines all fit going from the car to the caliper but I don't want to worry about kinked lines. Thanks!

    Pictures for your time:

I've always been fine with NAPA blanks, way cheaper and they get the job done. I did the LS1 brake swap last summer, you'll love it. I did bend the brackets on mine, but will be replacing the lines from the master with stainless soon. J&M makes a hose kit for doing the conversion, you can check them out at hotpart.com . Good luck, let us know how it goes! You'll love the extra stopping power.
