New member in Suffolk Va
Just got registered and thought the proper thing to do would be introduce myself.
I started out with a '96 3.8 5-speed Camaro over on V6FBODY which was an awesome car and got me hooked. I am also on Chevytalk and LS1tech (where I heard about this site).
4 years ago I bought a '97 Hendrick Motorsports Camaro SS out of Texas where it had seen long miles but had always been garaged. Currently I am installing a low mileage used engine I resealed, with BBK shorties and new cats. (too old for the drama at inspection time) I'll be building up the original at my leisure now. I am also replacing all the bushings in the front suspension, outer tierods and upper ball joints while I got it all out. It has Spohn rear control arms and PH bar already.
My DD is a '98 Y87 3.8 5 speed T-top Camaro with a SLP dual-dual exhaust I bought off ebay, 10 spoke 17's, 32 MM front swaybar and the ILE parts I pulled off the rear of the SS.
I am retired from the US Navy and now do Quality Assurance in Ship Repair. I look forward to discussing our mutual love / hate relationship with American Muscle Iron.
