    Default Pulled the trans

I thought I'd share with you guys. I'm getting ready for a cam swap, stall, ewp, 58mm tb, and some other stuff and I thought I would share some progress. As you may remember in the LT1/LT4 forum, I made a thread about info on pulling motors from the bottom. Well, after some debating, myself with some friends decided to leave the motor in place and just pull the trans. The only real reason I needed the motor out was to make doing the valvetrain work a bit easier and clean up the engine and engine bay. Oh well lol.

We pulled 3 of the 6 trans bolts pretty quick but couldn't get on the middle bolt on the d/s right, even after modifying a socket. The firewall was a little in the way I bought some swivel sockets and longer extensions, but still no go.

The transmission is out. I bought some swivel sockets and extensions, but couldn't get a socket on it thanks to the firewall. A wrench with some weird leverage from a long pry bar did the trick. The bottom two came out easily.

    Here's the "new" converter.

The stall was supposed to be a 2600 built for a 4.3L v6 in a truck. It flashed at 3400-3600! Oops So behind a v8 I'm hoping for 3800-4000. It has about 500 miles on it, and was a screaming deal.

I'm really excited and have the week off between xmas and new years so I am hoping to get the car running by then.
