93-97 Camaro Stock Auto Shifter Plate

Does anyone else hate the stock auto shifter plate on a 93-97 camaro? Mine rattles and then design for the little pieces in it is freaking terrible. Half the time they come apart and it just looks bad. Are there any alternatives to this? I've considered trying to get rid of the plate all together and using a manual plate with a boot. I'm also toying with the idea of getting a Pro Stick because I think it would look cool as hell with a pro stick and a manual shifter plate with a boot cut to fit the pro stick. Any ideas? or maybe some of you have tried something different? Looking for any opinions or suggestions here. Thanks!

I like the idea of the manual shift boot. I seen it done before and it looks good. not to familiar with auto's to give you any other advise. sry

Yeah, I think it would look a lot cleaner and definitely wouldn't rattle as much. I want a pro stick but I guess I don't really understand how they install. The guy at herron performance told me I would need a 4-spd gate with the pro stick to make it work for my 4l60e. I don't really understand what part is the gate...

Well I'm thinking about ditching the automatic plate altogether. I really want a pro stick.

if you want the stocker, your best bet is eBay or craigslist.
