2.73 camaro/firebird vs 3.23 camaro/firebird

How much quicker are the 3.23 geared automatic lt1 firebird/camaro's than the 2.73 automatic firebird/camaro's? i am just curious to know how different either car are performace wise, like in the 1/4 mile and 0-60 and whatnot.

In theory the 3.23 car should accelerate quicker out of the hole, but with an automatic having a 3.06 first gear, its not much of a differance in reality. The steep first gear makes up a lot of differance. IMHO autos need 3.73 gears and T56 cars need 4.10s for optimum performance. Eric L
