Default Bare Block -- St. Louis or reasonable driving distance

I'm looking for a bare LT1 block that does NOT need to be salvageable. It's not going to be used in a car. With my new upstairs living room setup I'm in need of a coffee table and end table, so I'm looking for an LS1 block to use as a coffee table, and I'm going to stand a LT1 block up on end and use it as a end table.

Needs to be CHEAP, and I do mean cheap considering it's a hunk of essentially worthless metal otherwise if it's not salvageable.

If anyone has a line on a LS1 block I might be interested in that too.

And if you're curious, the wife gave the green light for this idea.

I was going to make sure it was "ok" before you bought one.

This is an awesome idea. Are going to be putting a piece of glass on top of them or what?
