I've done a lot of research on brake rotors and if you're daily driving your car, I don't recommend drilled or slotted rotors. Flat rotors are best because of their maximum surface area for the most efficient braking. The drilled/slotted rotors may look cool and claim to decrease heat absorbtion, but into higher mileage they are prone to cracking between the drilled holes and slots. They don't have as much structural integrity. This results in replacing the rotors and also replacing the pads because they're probably chewed up. Also with daily driving, there's no need for increased cooling because quality rotors (ex. NAPA ultra premiums) have excellent heat-soak/dissipation abilities.
