Question for People Running Bosch EV6 Injectors
I recently purchased some EV6 bosch injectors to use in my new build. They came with height adapters to fit properly on the LT1 fuel rail. The problem I am facing is that, while they are close enough to the same o-ring to o-ring length, they dont seat at the same height as the stock injectors. Where the stockers will push in about 1/4" and stop, these will push in to the intake about 1/2" before they stop. This seems alright other than the fact that this causes the top o-ring to not quite be seated in the fuel rail.
Right now I have the injectors seated at the top against the fuel rail, but I am pretty sure they will just push down as soon as there is fuel pressure. They are seated pretty tight so I don't know if this will actually happen, but it is a possibility. I am also worried that the injector may not be in the correct position relative to the intake hole that it is seated in. Does anyone know what I should do here? There are no grooves in the adapter to use the injector clips so that is not an option unless I file them in myself.
I am going to give the company I got them from a call tomorrow to see what they have to say.1996 Z28 SS M6 Polo Green Metallic - Built 355 from my 93
