Nothing like a V8 powered F-body to put a smile on your face...
Typical frustrating day in pilot training today. It was just one of those days that you just feel pissed off but know vocalizing it in your current work environment will do nothing but get you into trouble. It's been cooler and less humid down here in the dirty south of Mississippi. You know, the kind of perfect 50 degree weather that the car performs its best at.
I was driving my Formula in my sig home from base, and got out in the country to a stop with a 90 degree turn onto another country road that curves right after the turn. I held the RPM's around 3,000 or so and popped the clutch, then held the RPM's into the slide. As I was holding the 45 degree slide onto the 90 degree turn I felt traction starting to pick up as the tires started getting warmer, so I brought the RPM's up to 4500-5500 and smacked the T-56 into 2nd, as the back end kicked out the opposite side. I then rode the slide through the curve in the road till about 65 MPH on the speedo where as I looked behind me I saw the footprints my mighty little Formula left in trail.
Nothing like a V8 powered F-body to brighten your day and bring a smile to your face!
