so how much does regapping plugs effect tune?

Well I redid all my plugs and regapped them, I also ajdusted 1 RR since it was loose.
I plan on taking the car to Speedinc to touch up the tune friday for the TDs and since I pulled the MAF screen since it was damaged a bit, and would like it spot on for the current set up.
The thing is when I pulled the plugs one looked oil fouled wich happend to be the same cylinder as the loose rocker. After getting it all back together it seems to be smoking alot. Doesnt smell like burnt oil or antifreeze but more like that eye watering rich as hell smell.
Any ideas????
The plugs were autolite 104s gapped at .045ish and the new plugs are the same 104s but gapped to the specd .035 for my set up

In my opinion I don't see why you need to close up your gap. I'd stay .045 maybe even .050 as you are now running the Dig 6. If you were running a power adder that significantly increased your cylinder pressure then yes close them babies up. Also, without going back and looking I believe the Autolite 104's are equivilent to NGK TR6 plugs. Again, without a power adder I'd say you'd be better off with the Autolite (if that is the brand you prefer) equivilent to NGK TR55's or TR5's.

I watched the vid and again in my opinion it does appear to be oil burning from somewhere. It's not black enough to be fuel, it's not white enough to just be water (condensation). It seems to have a hint of blue (oil).

Well, the reason I closed the gap is because thats what LE speced them at, He had told me 3 or 4 times to set them at .035 but they were never gapped the first time around.
As for the smoke I cant smell oil at all and the its a very strong rich smell, the 3rd cylinder had a loose rocker on the exhaust side. And from looking at the old plugs it seems more fuel fouled than oil fouled.
Now I just hope i didnt wash out the cylinder ring and thats contributing to the smoke

I would agree with Brandon. My plugs are gapped to 32 (i think) for a 200 shot. 35 sounds too close for an N/A car especially with the digital 6. What's your compression?

Was the loose RR on the exhaust or intake side? Theirs no way changing the plug gap can alter the way the car runs to the point where its overly rich or down on power over say 5 hp unless you over gap and the compression is blowing out the spark. IMO more then likely you over tightened the rocker arm causing it to hang open thus loosing compression on that cylinder to the point the air/fuel mixture no longer ignites. An over tightened intake side valve can drastically alter the way a car runs by throwing off sensor readings, more or less like a big vacuum leak. A cam with a large amount of duration can be very difficult to adjust by spinning the push rod method and should be done with the car running. Another few possibility's are you crossed a plug wire or cracked a plug on install.

found the prob and Im pulling the motor, about 20 of the bearings 2pcs of the c-clip and part of the bearing race is MIA. Good thing I have a spare forged 355 sitting around.

Holy Crap! That sucks. Looks like it was faulty.

Tell me about it. My luck with the car has not been great lately. I hope it lasts a long time with the new engine.
