Accident Pictures

Here are some pics of the truck I got into the accident with. It looked much different upclose and especially inside it. The worst part was seeing the blood all over the interior and on the windshield. Made me realize just how lucky my friend, his dog, and myself were.

Heres the original thread.

Everyones fine for the most part. My hip still bothers me and I have a pretty nasty scar above my nose thats still healing, but other than that I'm doin alright. After seeing it person for the first time today, it seems as though it could have been much worse.... To be honest, I dont know how anyone came out in the condition they were in. I wasnt wearing my seatbelt (:doh:) and the collision was probibly around 40-45mph. I couldnt believe how it just folded up like that...

This happened on the May 23, so it was after my accident with the Formula which was last october.

Wow, glad you're alright. I, like Larry, was involved in a car accident years ago. Friend lost control and we went into a ditch and my head went into the windishield. I had a pretty good concussion for about a week. It's still hard to break the habit of wearing my seatbelt. I know I should wear it more.

They had an article in the news paper out here a few weeks ago that said 70% of males between 18 and 30 do not wear their seatbelts. That's a lot of people.

Yeah... Accidents suck. Even if you arent at fault you still lose. I had about $400 worth of stuff in that truck and the other persons insurance company is refusing to pay for it. I dont feel like fighting it either.

You could be the best driver in the world, but it not always you, you gotta watch out for everyone else out there on the roads.

If you can't Dodge it, Ram it. I'm actually impressed with how that truck held together and kept you guys safe. Count your lucky stars, man. Technically speaking you DID get off easy. Glad you're okay for the most part, bud. :cool:

:laugh: Thats the first thing my friend said to his brother when he arrived at the scene of the accident... "I couldnt dodge it..... So I rammed it". I thought that was halarious when he told me. First time I ever heard of that saying.

Thanks everyone. It feels weird not wearing a seatbelt now. I used to wear my seatbelt all the time in my Formula, but not always in my Trailblazer. I was wearing my seatbelt in the Ram not long before the accident happened also if that counts?

His dirt bike was in the back of his bed strapped down. When we hit the other truck, the straps holding the back of it down broke and the bike hit the bed and flipped onto the roof of his truck. The EMT's thought I was on the bike and were confusing the hell out of me.

wondering about the airbags, what in the world didn't they deploy for?

sersiously thats kinda scary they didn't even work. seatbelt or not.

More than likely had an "SRS" light illuminated on the dash and the dude just shrugged it off like most people. Same with ABS lights. Most people don't care, but sometimes it comes back to bite you in the ass. Maybe this is not the case and Chrysler engineering just sucks ass. :secret:
