Figured I'd ask around before I buy one. Flywheel is likely broken, might as well do the clutch while it's all apart.

Are u looking for used or new. If NEW we have two sponsors that are parts vendors that could def help u out.
Honestly I could go with either, if it's used it would need to have lots of life left. What 2 sponsers? Is one spec, that ones is out of my price range lol

Im on my phone right now... hard for me to share the link. I have a short cut to sponsors link in the sales section under sponsors.

We are a Spec dealer but we can get several other clutches too. Did you have any particular brand or price range in mind? What makes you think the flywheel is broken?
PS thanks for the mention @popo8
For clutch and flywheel I'd like to stay under $300, I like crisp, tight shifts. This video shows why I think the flywheel broke or the bolts came lose.
Camaro 3800/3.8L rattling/knocking: http://youtu.be/SC7Z13UPPSY
The video is a few months old, I already replaced the timing set and damper to rule that out.

I haven't seen everything but I've never heard a clutch/flywheel make that noise before. Are you sure you have compression on all 6 cylinders?
Here's another car with broken flexplate for comparison

The difference wit that video and yours is that's an automatic which has a completely different flywheel. Does the sound change when you push in the clutch or start to apply torque (move forward)? You can rent most diagnostic tools for free at the big chain parts stores. I'd be happy to sell you a clutch but in this case I don't think it's the problem.
When I push in the clutch and shift into gear and accelerate the noise is still there, when I accelerate the frequency of the noise increases.

Yea, I don't think it's your clutch or flywheel. It's defiantly something with the rotating assembly. You might try posting in the "General Engine Discussion" or "Camaro and Firebird" sections. I think the first step is to get a compression gauge from a parts store and check for compression in all you cylinders.
Im sorry man... dont shoot the messenger, but im gonna go with rod knock.
I was just told compression test won't detect rod bearings so I'll try the plug wire test. Thanks everyone for your opinions, and thanks 96LT for being honest and not trying to sell me something I may not need. Blessings all!

I was only taggin u cause he originally mis spelled ur sn. I know u guys hoard ltx stuff. Lol
I would actually consider an ltx swap if you guys had everything I need.

Ok well then I need to put together a parts list to see what it will take to make an 01 LTX :-)

1400 is a great price but remember... dont expect perfection at that price. Like i pointed out the nose.
@popo8 that's tempting
