Just wondering. Lots of turbo builds on here but looks like everyone just about gave up on hitting the sauce.

Just wondering. Lots of turbo builds on here but looks like everyone just about gave up on hitting the sauce.
I plan on increasing the jet on mine till it stops making additional power :)
Very nice boss man. Stay out of machine shop jail!!
I will be spray the world at mine going to maybe feed the car a bottle and a half ever two weeks
Hoping to spray my way to another couple of opti trophies this year :)
I'm contemplating about adding this to my car. It would only be for bracket racing though to catch up. Losing because you spin off the line really sucks.
I'm gonna spray all that she will take as soon as all the kinks are worked out from the build.
Currently I'm spraying my bird with a 150 wet shot ... stock tune and colder plugs. Does 13.7 n/a and then on the juice 11.9 ... I spray immediately off the line when the light goes green ... 28" tall drag slicks and stock 2.73 gears ... Long tube headers and full 3 inch x pipe exhaust
... Best 60 foot is 1.6
i floor it and its spraying ... the stock converter flashes to like 1750 ish i think but yeah OFF THE LINE !!!
i have a 3000 vigilante stall that is going in in the next few days hehehe
are you running race gas to protect against knock, @zooguy? i sprayed mine with a 100 last summer, and am planning to up it to a 150 as soon as this tank of gas is gone and i can get some 110 in. i'm also not tuning for it, just plugs and prayers. mine is a 6spd though, i'm just running a button on the wheel 'fast and the furious' style.
yeah i am rolling the dice but i am having fun
seems to love the 150 shot!!
has me wondering about a 200 lol
I'm hoping to have some happy gas by spring
I brought 45lbs of nitrous with me to the shootout last year, 35 gallons of methanol, 5 gallons of race gas, and a gallon of Nitro. If things would have gone a bit better I could have gone through 20lbs of nitrous.
Now my last LT1 is gone so I'm going to spray a 605BBC and see how that works.
i want a bigger bottle, mine is only 10lbs. i need the big ones, two of them, and i need them by tonight.
i've been looking at pusher systems rather than a bottle warmer.
push system can be a bit finicky...and can be against track rules....cold systems work really well
cliff notes:...freeze your nitrous bottle, introduce pressure to the bottle...not easy to regulate but it will make more HP per jet size....its not something I would suggest for the weekend racer
push systems work...but are not the be all and end all....for small shots just control bottle pressure no need to over complicate things
I've been on a 200 shot for several years. I'd like to upgrade to a direct port and up it in the 300+ range.
I run two N2O Noids. 100 on each kit. (dry) the inj add the fuel when the Noids are energized. Controlled by a LS1 PCM.
The video says 300. It was on the video 150 each kit. I just don't feel like it ingested it well threw the air lid. So back down to 200.
nice! i'm running a single nozzle wet shot. after this bottle i'm going to put jets for a 200 in.
Nothing wrong with that. Spray the house down.
I plan to spray it all. You don't need jets just a bottle and garden hose.
U keep tryin to kill it...and it just wont die.
I'm really not trying to kill it, I'm using good gas and only spraying 3-5k RPMs. Doing everything I can to make it last. If it goes I want it to be because the motor couldn't take any more power, not because of my errors. I'd pull timing if there was an easy way to do it.
Maybe just borrow some tunning software. U have gotta know someone... somewhere.
I'm an hour from you. . And sweet 94 on here our sponsor is in Jackson. . You're trying to kill it with a 200 and no timing pulled lol I don't care if you have vp import In it..
Dawdaw is literally the only person i've met with another LT1 f-body. most my friends drive subarus, evos, civics, and 240s. a couple camaros and gtos. the biggest reason i'm going LS is because i have 4 friends that can tune them and have experience with them and lots of left over parts.
@dawdaw, what would it cost and what would need to be done to get some timing pulled?
people said 150 would blow it up too and theres two of us in this thread doing it lol, what's another 50 hp!?!?!
How far are you from Jackson? Sweet 94 on here is a pretty smart tuner and is a board sponsor on here. .. I could do it no problem but it would just be a matter of me meeting you somewhere. .. but just saying nate could probably data log the car for you and correct fueling and change a few other things that will help it out .. and he doesn't charge an arm and a leg ... The stock tune is fat.
About 45 min.
Fat is safe, isn't it?
