Ok so I got the new motor in my car and I can't get the coolant to bleed the air, so far I've put almost six jugs of coolant trying to bleed this damn thing and am using the bleeders, the cars nose is up and I spent almost an hour trying to get it to bleed and still nothing just a bunch of white steam coming out of the bleeder screw any ideas? Thanks.
Six gallons? Pressure test your cooling system. Shouldn't hold anywhere near that much.

Ya I know, I'll pressure test it here soon the thing is I don't see any leaks
i would fill it up and leave the bleeder screw tight until it warms up to get pressure in the cooling system and open the screw. ( dont over heat it.) or put a bleeder funal on the radiator and take the bleeder screw out. and of the 6 gallons are you sure? im think 3 gallons max and are u puffing out smoke? no leaks right? is your water pump working?
Water pump works I'm assuming its brandnew an has no stains around the wheep hole, and yes I'm sure I bought 3 to start then another 3 today and still not done, yes it's white steam coming from the bleeder
Coolant capacity with the M6 trans is 15.3 quarts (3.825 gallons). Might want to check the oil to see if you can figure where the 8 extra quarts went.

That coolant went somewhere. Make sure all your hoses are hooked up obviously, radiator petcock closed, heater core hooked up, block plug/knock sensor in, etc. You probably already did, but make sure it isn't dumping on the ground or onto the floorboard (leaking heater core).
Ok I will check that. And I didn't know the knock sensor would cause a coolant leak if it wasn't there?
Yeah the KS's hole in the block goes into a water jacket.

It's in the hole that would normally be filled by the block drain plug for the passenger side.
