Looks like he might have a collection.
Damn, too bad someone who would fix it up right doesnt have it.
I was into Mopars for a long time and this kind of thing makes me sick, I have owned 2 Challengers, a Duster, 2 Satellites and a 64 Plymouth Fury with a push button auto in it.
I spent part of my childhood working on my friends E-stock eliminator 71 GTX 440 Magnum 4 speed car.
Here are some of the pics I have of the car and its 25 year old paint job.Attachment 12071Attachment 12072This car was running a junk yard 440 with a sleeved cylinder and stock components at a race weight of just shy of 4500 pounds and went 11.70s with a slipping clutch.
I love mopars, and this is a tragedy!! If I ever win the lottery, I'd have a couple chevys, and a barn full of mopars. There used to be a guy that had about 30 acres of mopars only. The car that stood out and I always wanted, was a 70 orange super bee, original 440 6pak, 4 speed car!! I was 15 last time I had been in that area. My dad and I stopped to look at the car, and ended up with shotgun pointed at us!
Yeah I hear ya there because there are several places around here that have all kinds of cars just sitting and slowly going away because the owners wont let them go.
I had a temp job where I changed the electric meters on homes in the area and wrote done different addresses where I found cars in garages, fields ect and figure if I am EVER in a position to buy them up I will LOL.
That's a shame. Buy it!!!!!!
im a big fan of the cudas. My step father has a 71 Cuda 440 6-Pack.ill get it one day. but probably not till Im 65-70 lol.
I want to build a Mopar one day but I am cool right now with my LTX so I guess we will see what happens.
Ok guys here's the " Big" news I stopped by today and The guy was a total dick, I said sir how much would you sell this fine piece of machinery for? And they man said I've had a lot of ppl ask me and they don't wanna pay what it's worth and I said throw out a number and he said I plan on fixing it sometime when it's all fixed it should be worth about 50k and I said ok well would you take 20k cash and he said no its not for sale, I was thinking why the hell didn't you say that first instead if making me waste my breath on your selfish butt, (the car has been sitting for at least 10yrs and will prob sit till its no good) stupid die hard Okies
SMOKE TIRES NOT DRUGS
LMAO, it's not worth ANYTHING just sitting there. It's only worth something if someone is willing to pay for it. I'm willing to pay xxx amount, so there's what's it's worth, take it or leave it.
Those words above are what I'd have said to him. All these damn car shows, auctions, etc, are making people thing that a hunk of rusting metal is worth a fortune, and it's destroying the market. Greed at it's finest.
Yeah the guy was kind of a prick acted like his shit don't stink
SMOKE TIRES NOT DRUGS
So tired of hearing that response. Me and my dad used to go on car searches. Within 20 minutes of the house I did know where a 70 challenger plum crazy 426 hemi, 69 torino talladega 428, 70 cuda, 73 barracuda, 73 Pierre Cardin amx 360, 69 camaro pace car, 69 trans am, 70 Buick gs stage 1 455, 70 gto judge, several 77-78 tas, 67 gto, 70s pantera, 80s countach, 60s jag e type coupe, several 60s-70s mach1 and boss mustangs, 60s-70s vettes, and a very low mileage (19,000 if im remembering right) survivor 70 grand torino 351C, and that's just the stuff that catches my eye. But the answer is always the same and it sits. We have owned several rare muscle cars.
