That was the closest to a "PRAYING" smiley as I could find....
talk to lswho he tunes my car, If you get the aldl cable and win flash and something for dataloging you can have it tuned by email. he can read your datalog and see what needs work and email you a tune which you can flash to the pcm yourself in a few mins. I highly recommend him. He has whent above and beyond for me.:hail:
POPO is Force Inducted, i think he is looking for a dyno tune.
Call Fran at Race Proven Motorsports. Raceprovenmotorsports.net. he does mainly lsx now, but he did a lot of ltx back on the day. He is in Claymont De, very close to PA. He may be able to help or guide in the right direction.
Honestly, good luck finding one anywhere.I would tell you a track tune is probably better than dyno, or an AMAZING supplement. There are things that a dynotune simply can't prepare the car for. Though with a dyno da is factored in already and gains are easier to read.I have tuned a turbo lt1. It ain't rocket science. Timing is lower, afr is richer. Tuning is mostly about setting it up with timing and base afr, then adjusting fueling for power. Then double-checking timing.I tuned mine on the street and at the track.
I think your missing the point..... we are looking for some one to review the combo... tell us if items need changed, and a tuner LOCALLY that knows what they are doing with LTX's.... not someone telling us how much its "not rocket science." We dont know how to tune, that is why we utilize others.... I have no urge to learn how to tune with a car that has over 20-25K invested in it.... thank you for your assistance.... but, as easy as it is for you... its not for me... and never will be....
No prob. He may mention Rapid too. Let me know if you go with Fran, I may give him a call or text heads up.
Dude you're tripping....no one told you to tune the car yourself. You're car isn't unique or special, you might think it is, but someone else has already been there done the same thing, well over ten years before you. It's very simple, you run your car hard while datalogging email the datalog and any tuner can tell what needs to be done, and make the changes send you a tune by email you flash it to the pcm, datalog it after tune and get it dialed in. this is more accurate than some mustang dyno and a guy tuning it on the spot who will never tune it like it was his own car anyways. On the dyno and at the track is like comparing phone sex to the real thing. If you don't want to buy a $59 aldl cable and the $20 tuner cat win flash which a monkey could figure out and just want some one else to do all the work for you I understand, but all this childish crap and "I'll see you at the shootout" sounds like a little kid.
I dont know what to change in my tune but I know how to load a mail order tune or one someone emails me, and I can use datalogging software (thats free) as easy as I can use microsoft word. It's that simple but you wanted to be a dick about it.
im not taking any sides in this but lets just bring down the hostility some. is shit like this that takes away from what makes this community what it is. and makes it seam like "other" boards.

Once again... its not about my car being special its about my abilities, and what Im willing to do... Im not "trippin", some of you simply can answer a simple question and go on a tangent in the wrong direction.... You said its been done before, that EXCELLENT... please forward the NAME of the person, who does it (as a business) as the original question requests..... Thank You again for YOUR response, again, just like LSWHOS it was very helpful if I had asked a different question....
LOl, thats not hostility Tony...Its real simple for the people responding to the thread...... if you dont have the answer to the question, dont respond.... no need to go off in other directions and offer other options... the question was focused on one direction.....
Actually, my very first sentence was in direct response to the thread. Then I went into your response about dyno tuning, telling you that dyno tuning isn't your only option for a good tune. And I continued to say that a good NA tuner should be able to handle a boost tune because for a tuner "it's not rocket science." The tables are the same. The end values are different, that's all.
Good luck finding help, if you had a better attitude you'd probably get a lot more. Your most recent bitter response has added on stipulations that the original post left out. Don't get bent out of shape over people helping. It's YOU and your actions that cause the community to suffer. Not the people giving you help.
Correct , of SOMEONE... like a name...
Listen Im gonna take this opportunity to appologize if I gave people attitude. My frustration runs deep with where we are at with the car right now, and I was looking for a simple answer like "FRED, all he does is LTX's" or something along those lines.....
So with that said, I am sorry...
Cool, bygones.
I don't actually know your history, but have you checked the "local" clubs in baltimore, philadelphia, and NY (if there are any) for any tuners that can help you out? Some guys never go on national clubs, and some don't go online at all. Your best bet is a guy that owns an LT1 that tunes his own and his local club members. Shops are not where I'd look personally.
I was going to paste links to the recent history of the car and what was done... however the ALL THREADS STARTED bY button (the way I would locate my other threads) is sending me to an error page....
Basically a fully forged internal 385ci with PISC and intercooler..... stock heads and intake with minor porting......
But right now, after the last dyno session, trying to figure out a DEAD HOLE problem.... one of the 7 new plugs is gone (fat) and the other 7 look ok. So we need to straighten that out... then address the boost issue, where its dropping off from 6 lbs to 0 instantly.... the car should be in the 12-14lb/boost area .....
I heard Colin and Casey always talking about how fantastic SRE is in Wichita. I think their tuner's name is Jesse. He owes an LT1. See if Moe will be able to help you on Friday or something, unless you need tuning before your departure from PA on Wednesday.
Hey Popo, I was just going to say Rapid Motorsports. I tell you what though, I tried calling them a couple of years ago for a good two weeks to buy a new STS kit through them and they would never return my phone calls. I wasn't too happy about that, customer-service wise.
I guess there is a place in West Chester called Complete Street Performance. It looks like they do mostly Gen III and VI stuff, but I would give them a call. Usually they will be able to refer you to someone local if they don't do LTx tuning.
Jen, give Bryan Herter from PCM's for less a call. He is in PA, and IMO is probably the best LT1 tuner out there. I have always taken my cars to him and had amazing results (and a FI tune with the stock 95 PCM and a maxed out MAF is not an easy car to tune!).
I would hope he's running a two bar map too.
I believe I am only a single bar MAP sensor as it was from the factory in 95.
Use Rapid Motorsport only if you want your knock sensors turned off, and the engine to blow up. Bryan is a great tuner/guy if you deal with him directly, but his mail order tuner Keith is a big piece of shit, just to put it nicely. If you want you car tuned the right way with the true time needed to get the car to run as it should, contact Ryan @ Stumps Garage in Pinegrove. 570-345-4060 He will most likely ask for the car to be dropped off, so he can get the cold start correct, and he will put miles on it to make sure the cam surge, etc is to the minimum. The best Ive found, and ive used all the above at one point or another.
Also Complete Street Performance....They dont call him the "Detonator" for nothing
no "TWISTED Z" hes on several board under that name, heres his site

Im almost positive Bryan is in Indiana PA which is closer towards Ohio last time I went to his house for a tune. lol. It is possible that he did go south though. Not sayin your wrong.
Stow, OH. or thats what it says on PCMforless's web site.
Well, all the tuning stuff is on hold for now..... Got the car running again, but now it appears a compression check and maybe a better set of heads and MAYBE a better cam will be in the works.... We think we may have hurt a valve....
