So I've decided my problem is likely the optispark, but while I'm in there I'm going to do a couple of other things like ICM, spark plug wires, O2 sensors, coil, and an Aeromotive FPR.
My question is:
What are the best of each?
Coil?
O2 sensors?
Wires?
ICM?
OEM, Napa, O'reillys, or where?
What do you need an Aeromotive FPR for? tons of guys making good power use the stock regulator. I have a good stock regulator if you want to replace stock for stock.Quote:

Wires - MSD. I've seen several threads, and even a guy that did a resistance study on 1 foot of wire from MSD, Accel, Taylor, and stock. The MSD's won by a longshot.
ICM - Stock replacement.
Source it from wherever you want. I'd start with summit or Jeg's. Prices are pretty decent.
Reason for the FPR is the car has a procharger. I need the 1:1 increase in FP.
Thanks for the input, I kinda gather OEM electronics are preferred on these cars. A little different than the mustang stuff I'm used to working on.
O2s - I don't know how anyone can recommend Bosch O2 sensors. They are far and away the WORST O2 sensors you can buy. This is documented and proven. From what I have seen, there are more Bosch FAILURE stories than success stories, myself being one of them. A simple Google search will reveal this.
Coil - I have had good luck with both stock replacement (AC Delco, not OTC) and the MSD Blaster.
Wires - MSD 8.5mms. By far the best set of wires I have ever owned.
ICM - AC Delco.
Really? The Bosch sensors are junk? Mike have been working fine so far....
What's recommended then? I might as well change mine out while the motor is out.....better safe than sorry.

Bosch manufactures certain portions of their sensors to cater to a wide variety of applications in order to reduce production costs. This sacrifices sensor accuracy and reliability for price. If your sensors are working fine now, it's because you're incredibly lucky and nothing else, hahah.
The best O2 sensors by FAR are AC Delco.
How soon do the Bosch sensors normally fail? I've only got about 300 miles on mine.
I personally haven't seen a Bosch sensor go more than a year. Mine dumped after 4 months.
Maybe I should just replace them now and be done with it.
I would! Good working O2s are incredibly important.
