New motor almost ready what do you guys think

block 383 clearanced and converted to 4 bolt splayed mains with arp studs
scat forged 383 crank
scat forged 6in. pro comp I beam rods
mahle forged piston & rings file fit for a 300 shot
205cc trick flow heads cnc ported by total engine airflow 2.02/1.60 valves 62 cc chambers to give 11.2 to 1 compresion ( same heads use in the gm high tech performance lt1 head shootout that put down 511hp with the 280xfi cam )
ported intake with hidden direct port fogger setup.
Cam speced by T.E.A. ground by comp cams dur. 236/248 lift 608/600 on a 114 lsa.
Still need rockers, timing set, elec water pump, and gaskets.
Already have long tube headers, 3600 s converter, built 700r4, and 410 gears with a mini spool ( I know the 10 bolt won't last long 9in. to come )
So what kind of power do you guys think it will make with out the nitrous.

With the nitrous cam and low compression and large ring gap for spray I would say 500 max. why did you go at 11.2? and also what are you going to run for fuel? dedicated with race gas for the direct port?

TEA does good work.

CR is a bit low and the cam is a bit small for NA, but I would guess around 500-525 flywheel. It will love the bottle though!

How much on spray depends on the brand and type of kit you use, some are rated flywheel and some RWHP.

You think 11:1 is to low a cr?

For an n/a build, you can safely go much higher. There are guys running 12.5-1. You really have to have everything tuned well to run that high though. I wouldn't say 11-1 is low, but there is a little power left on the table by not going higher.

Understood... but this will add more longevity to the engine compared to a higher cr, right?

Longevity is based on 90% builder, 10% parts. If the parts were prepared and assembled properly there's no reason the engine wouldn't last.

Not really, it's all in the tune. I wouldn't worry about it being 11-1. When I say there is power left on the table by not going to say 12-1, we're talking 5-10hp, not like it's going to be down 50 or anything, lol. He'll get a lot of flack on the "other" board for not taking it right up the maximum though. My little 350 LT1 was running 9.4-1 and it seemed to have no problem stomping people. OP's car will be just fine at 11-1.

should run very well.....I would venture to say mid/low 400s NA (depending on convertor) and nitrous numbers will depend on how much you spray :)

With that being said the car should run bottom 11s NA, no matter what the dyno says...FWIW my AFR headed 396 w/a 246/254 cam only dyno'd 380-390 whp but ran 11.10 @ 124 on a 1.6 60' with a nitrous gear and convertor

I wanted 12 to 1 but T.E.A. recomended a 62cc chamber for 11.2 and I figured they would know better than me.
I could have the heads milled but I don't know if 5-10hp is worth it? Yes a dedicated fuel system for spray.
