I got to looking at his site & noticed he has a head/cam combo for 1100.00, & another for 1200.00 from what i'm seeing, would this be a good way too go for a bolt-on LT1 with 3.42s & M6, or would i be better off just sticking with a cam change?? He has some heads for 750.00 that flow 255/180, would these be a nice step up over stock, what do stock heads flow anyways??
stock heads flow in the 220's iirc. throwing a good size cam in there will give you some nice gains but the stock heads will be choking the combo bigtime.Quote:

I'm going back to the 3.42 10 bolt & stock suspention for various reasons, i'm running full bolt-ons, i just liked the way the car road when it had the stock suspention/gears(don't ask lol), but now that i have some extra coin, i was thinking of a cam change because the price is right, all i'm looking for now out of this car issss, running into the 12s on street tires & cruiseing around :jest:. Call it crazy for getting rid of the 9" & spool, but its what i want (from this camaro), it was sooooo smooth when i first got it, i've gone 10s in my Duster for 2 yrs. & tones of track time, now i just want a solid 12 second cruiser, i'm sure a cam change will do it, but the head/cam package seems like a good deal, decisions/decisions.
a cam swap will def net you 12's with bolt ons
i ran a 12@110 with the cc306 and not even every bolt on
Lloyd Elliot stuff is excellent. That is really cheap for a ported head combo. His cams are excellent too. A stock set of LT1 aluminum heads are right around 210ish, the iron heads actually flow a touch better. The stock LT4 heads flow around 250ish, a stock set of aftermarket TFS LT1 heads flow 255ish. So for under a grand you get an assembled set of TFS-flowing heads. Seems like a good deal to me.
so if you sent your heads to loyddhe can get upwards of 290 out of them? damn
My LE2's flowed 283/193 at .600 lift, and i think stockers flow around 210.
i was wrong my ported stckers flowed 278 i read stock is 220
Not trying to thread jack, but what is the max on porting the stockers?
