passenger side air bag

Just pulled the motor and trans in the car a couple days ago and have the whole front end stripped to a bare shell to paint... I pulled the ac box tongiht and was wanting to pull my passenger air bag while i'm at it... Big Question, do i have to pull the dang dash off? I would have to cut alot of wires and its going to be a huge pain, I started to remove the dash and it's mostly disconnected but like i said don't want to start hacking wires to get it out. i've tried googling but can't find much. if theres anyway to remove it without pulling the dash will someone chime in and tell me please!

Is there any way to maybe get it out by going thought the glovebox area?ive never had to remove the dash so idk I'm just making suggestions

I found a write up once and it was removed around the glovebox area. It was a good write up. Can't find it now...

Shoot i found this photo of a camaro that was in a accident and blue the airbag out, i was thinking about pulling the cover bag and taking a hacksaw to it and cutting it out....

Well man i pulled the cover today (took a flat had screw driver and slowly pried) and took my dremel and cut the part of the dash that is "pre cut" so when the air bag deploys it pops out it breaks the cuts and comes out in the right direction and pulled six bolts and it was as simple as that! never had to pull the dash and took maybe 20 minutes for the whole deal. Simply re glued it down and you can't even tell i touched it.... SOOOOO much easier then pulling the dash lol and everyone that i've asked has told me to pull it, jackasses. The glue is D815 that my dad uses for gluing down carpet, it's some wicked stuff and don't wiff it or you might get a tad high lol

Awesome, I now have another project for winter to add to the list. How much did it weigh?

In all It seemed like a good 10 to 12 lbs with everything. Free weight reduction :)
