So I've been thinking about something my father in law said earlier. He likes the woods and nature that's where he finds solitude and peace. For me its under the hood of a car. Cams and headers and turning bolts is where I enjoy being. If money was no object I would never leave the garage. Where is your "happy place"? I want to open a speed shop and have it succeed. That's always been my life's dream.

LOL... seriously.... I no longer have a happy place. I know I bitch alot, but something has happened to my "wiring," Im always miserable. My "HAPPY PLACE" used to be hanging out at the Performance shop where we built my car, and we all just hung out....... but not anymore.... people change, and I have no urge to be around them.... I was robbed of my happy place.....
ADDITION: BGKY for the Shootout... That week is my "HAPPY TIME," and Im assuming that makes it my HAPPY PLACE....

I had an uncle that worked in the vette factory. He drove them on the test track. He carried us on a tour of the plant when the c5 zo6 had just came out. I started a m6 z06 for its first time on the assembly line. They put them on rollers as soon as they are completed and they do like a 60 MPH cruise then a 0-90 run or something like that. That z06 I started dude hammered it and it spun on the rollers then he squeeled 2nd and chirped 3rd. Did you know if one wheel gets a scratch they take all four wheels off and send them back to the supplier to be refinished? Also did you know if the vette gets scratched they completely disassemble the car put it back on the assembly line as a bare chassis? Or atleast that's how they handled it back then. The vette museum was pretty sweet when I went to it as well although I'm sure its changed by now.
My happy place was spending time with my grandmother, until she passed in December. Since then I really haven't found a place or hobby where I'm truely content outside of being with my wife and "kids", ours dogs.
I dont think I really have a happy place. Probably in my car with the system on and the open road.
Fishing on the altamaha miles away from people.
Hanging out alone with the girlfriend just talking and relaxing
Banging gears in the trans am on back roads
Anywhere there is water really (lake, river, ocean)
