The issue with my valve cover leak is the oil return from the turbo being plumbed in through the off fresh air vent. It's just too much oil going through there.
I'm considering popping the manifold off and drilling/tapping a hole for something like a 1/4 npt or a -6 an fitting and dumping the oil return right into the lifter valley. It's a legit LT4 manifold too.
Thoughts?

Sucks to have to drill an lt4 intake but I guess that's a better option than drilling the oil pan. I wonder if a factory oil cooler adapter has any ports or spots you could drill on the return side...
This may be dumb.... but cant you "Y" the return line, and hit both valve covers... may not be a 50/50 division, but neither one will get 100% of the oil , and no drilling anything.
If its dumb, I apologize in advance.
Not dumb at all. You'd basically be doubling the return capacity. Definitely worth a shot before drilling. Good call!
You could take it one step further and split it into 4. 2 in the front and 2 in the rear on both covers since there are drain backs at both ends of the heads. Just a thought.

Problem with y-ing the return line is that I already have lines running everywhere, and I'm running two drivers side valve covers meaning I've only got two potential return ports, and they're not symmectrically located. I thought about y-ing but I'm really staving that off as a last resort. I'm trying to keep it simple. If I had the room, location, and time, I'd just pull the pan and go gravity drain but that ain't happening.

Sorry man. Looks like drilling the intake it is. I think it will look pretty good though. Should keep it clean
I'm just not sure if its a bad idea to dump oil right back in there or not. The y-ed lines is a good idea but is a last resort for me. Guess I gotta order up some parts for the drill/tap fest.

How about welding a seperate fitting into 1 or both valve covers for your oil return?
