Catmaigne's "LolT1" Budget Boost Buildup

The LT1 fuel pump hat fits no problem. In all honesty, I'm not really sure how this tank is different than a LT1 one except for the gas cap area. Doesn't look that different on the inside from the pics I've seen online.

I'm currently debating how I want to mount the Racetronix assembly. I could bend the pump hat bracket flat, screw it in and send it. But I'm concerned that the steel backing of the assembly contacting the inner tank baffle is gonna vibrate and make a ton of noise. Maybe I need some foam and to prop it up like the attached pic.

I'm sure this HVAC panel fits fine from the interior side. Really surprised nobody makes an AC delete kit that retains heat and can be installed from the engine side. Wouldn't be that hard to make.

Pulled most of the stuff out of the engine bay. I need to put a new bearing in this Torqhead dummy opti before I can put that on. It feels a little grindy, but that's probably because it fell off of my desk. Also need to reseal the blower because it leaks a little oil.

Also pulled the rear out in order to swap the gas tank/lines. I also want to fix this shitty Moser TA mount once and for all as this housing has always fit like dogshit. Notice something off about the TA mount tubes?

~94 degrees. I'm guessing this is supposed to be 90? Probably explains why I needed to shim the TA mount with washers to get the TA anywhere near the right spot. See ancient photobucket pic from 2014 to see what I mean.

I'm going to angle mill the TA mount so it sits flat and no washers are necessary. I know Moser will be of no help like they always are.

Started mocking up my fuel rails on a spare intake. These -8AN PTFE fittings are bulkier than I thought... In retrospect, -6AN inlets would've been a better choice.

I'm trying to cram as much as possible onto the top of the intake as the HVAC delete panel is pretty full. Also trying to avoid drilling into my firewall and running fuel lines everywhere, so the plan looks like the below pic. It'll all be mounted onto an aluminum plate I'm going to make on the mill. Also will be swapping out the ethanol sensor for the shorter version and moving the fuel pressure sensor to the feed side (or potentially omitting it and just running a gauge for setting purposes).

Swapped the cheap zinc hardware out on my ICT coil brackets for stainless stuff. I also cut up some garolite tubing to better align the aluminum spacers as their ID is huge compared to the bolt OD.

Will also be using this sealed Littelfuse PDM box. I also ordered a Littelfuse ATO fuse holder to place nearby so I can fit more relays into the PDM box.

Bought some Accel plug wires to go with my MSD superconductors, but they fit too tightly ocer the LS coils. Apparently the terminal is correct, but the boot is smaller and for an opti it seems. Have to source something better.

Found out the source of my blower oil leak is the impeller side seal. Was hard to tell from the outside as it was collecting at the bottom of the volute. Replacing this isn't gonna be fun.

Got the HVAC plate on for a mockup. Didn't fit as well as I anticipated, but I don't really care for $30.

Made some fuel line brackets to replace the plastic hardline style pieces in the trans tunnel. Still playing with the arrangement.

Also milled the fuse box plate and FPR plate. I still need to drill and tap holes, but it's a start. I decided to change the return line from the FPR to a barbed one to buy some space up front.

While it may be trickier, why not run a short jump of hardline between fuel reg and flex fuel sensor?

I thought about doing a hard connection there with AN fittings but ultimately decided against it. The FPR outlet and 3/8 sensor inlet both have o-rings and I wanted to keep the connection semi flexible because they're both getting fixed to the plate. It's the low pressure side so I'm not as worried about leaks.
