Is there a lip on a factory ttops car? I susoect the lip is only there to support the roof and is not there on a ttops car. As this car was convertered I think the seal is wrong. As it stands now I cant put yhe metal trim rails back on the sides and the glass sits higher than the ttops

Factory t top and original windshield.
I did have a firebird that I rolled and the windshield was replaced in it an looked exactly like yours. I always thought it was because the frame was tweaked but now I wonder if its just the replacement windshield

Your post werent there before i made that post. Can you tell if your car has that little lip at all? That notch is going to bug the shit out of me, i thought that was just the T-Top weather strip, but apparently that is not the case and Safelite should be informing people with this type of car that it wont be a factory finish.

Alot of the problem with you car is they let the A pillers drop when the cut it for the Tops. From the pics, it looks like the top of the A sagged 1/2". Thats why you are have the leaks. The seal they used is a generic universal molding/seal combo. They didn't use the correct camaro seal/trim.
The A piller problem is what delayed GM offering the T top is early 93's
Its a camaro t-top seal just the previous owner put that rtv on it to try and prevent the leaks. I have some weather stripping in the trunk to put in but now its raining.

So, referencing my picture, it looks like the trim should seal over the little lip that can be seen.
What I am getting at, should that lip be there at all on a T-top car or is it only there on a Hardtop to support the roof which can be removed and have the glass r/r again to be sealed properly
Oh I see what you are saying. The actual windshield trim they used is notched for some some of cover piece for the t bar.

Id call safelite up. There's more than one thing going on there. Either the glass the used was bad or the trim was not correct. Or both
