Looking good. Did you order some hood struts? I see what appears to be a temporary strut. LOL

Deka 80's are in. Cutting the retainer clip grooves wasn't too bad.

Finished up the ABS delete up front and the new lines out back. Not sure if they leak, haven't bled them yet.

The bumper and underside plastics are all installed. Everything is tightened up and the blower intake is done. Just have to run the catch can.

Boost gauge is rigged up.

I pulled the tailshaft housing and knocked out the old bushing. It was somewhat loose if you wiggled the yoke vertically (like installed in the car). This is a TH350 bushing I pressed in. The stock T56 bushing is longer and has about 1.180" of bearing surface whereas the TH350 is a little shorter at a hair under 1". I ordered a brake hone from NAPA to enlarge it because the ID shrunk slightly after pressing it in. Gonna pick it up tomorrow.

So I found out yesterday that the Walbro bundy fitting for the inline 255 is 5/16", not 3/8" like the feed. That fucked my day up so I ordered the right 3/8" bundy with expedited shipping. I also swapped plugs yesterday to the BR7's and cracked 2 of the JEGS plug wires in the process. New set of plug wires shipped from Rock Auto, also expedited. Earlier today I found out that Procharger is backordered on the belt that I need, so I tried a few belts from Pep Boys and figured out the size I need which is somewhere between 42 and 43". Apparently the Gates belts run slightly longer, so I ordered 2x 42" 6 ribs through Prime.
All of the loose ends should be here very soon. If things go smoothly, I'm hoping to fire it up over the weekend with my baseline 2 bar SD tune and take it really easy around the neighborhood.
Getting real close. Looks good.

Got it together and drove it a bit. Already on rev 3 of the tune and there's still a long way to go. Currently chasing an off idle tip-in issue and dialing the VE tables in with open loop. How much boost does it make? No idea, but I can drive it around and make tornado noises so I'm happy. Still have some minor mechanical things to do, but it's 99.999% there.
Some other thoughts:
-The Speed Engineering duals or chinabay duals is hands down the worst fitting exhaust I've ever had the displeasure of installing. It's also so loud that I can't hear my own thoughts, but part of me is fine with that lol.
-The TH350 bushing won't work in the T56 tailshaft housing without machine work. The bushing will deform into one of the oil grooves and the ID will be egg shaped. I did a shitload of honing and it came out egg shaped on both bushings I installed, so I pressed the stock one back in backwards with some loctite on the back.
-The 2x 6 rib belts worked like a charm. Ironically, the right Procharger belt showed up a few hours ago. Their backorder showed up earlier than expected and they overnighted it to me. Oops.

sounds awesome man!
Sounds sweet, didn't seem loud in the videos, but from the rear it may sound louder. Congrats on getting it running and driving. Look foward to some dyno numbers or a dragstrip run. Cool project.
Up to Rev 6 of my 2bar SD tune and felt confident enough in my VE tables to put it into closed loop. The idle won't stabilize in closed loop, but I think it's the idle timing error correction causing it to surge. Drives decent otherwise other than some surging around 1.8k and under. Feels like the drag of the blower made my cam surge more pronounced, maybe that's just the nature of the beast. I dialed the timing up a little around light throttle/low rpm cruise, but maybe it needs more.
Anyway, here are the BLM's I collected after a 15 minute cruise:
Cell - L / R
0 - 128/128 low data
1 - 125/126
2 - 120/117
3 - 122/122 low data
4 - 128/125 low data
5 - 124/123
6 - 123/122
7 - 124/125 low data
8 - 129/127 low data
9 - 129/128 low data
10 - 124/129
11 - 127/127 low data
12 - no data
13 - no data
14 - no data
15 - no data
16 - 115/117
17 - 127/126
18 - 120/120
I have a few adjustments to make, but it's driving decent so far.
Did an oil change, tucked the exhaust up a little better, and moved the inline fuel pump higher up with a little bracket I fabbed. I've been scraping these duals on everything so I can tell the ride on I95 down to OCMD is gonna be delightful.

The blower belt was misaligned and it shredded a rib off of one of the Gates 6-rib's. I found that the crank pulley needed to be shimmed outward so I used some hardened washers to bring it out 0.12". Maybe the JEGS Powerbond balancer flange is a little skinnier than stock? Not sure. I also flipped the idler on the tensioner around which gave me a little more clearance on the pulley guides.
Up to Rev 14 of the tune now and have been experimenting with some 0% TPS open loop patches made by kur4o @ gearhead-efi. Stoich seems to make the idle surge which is most pronounced when coasting with the clutch in. It's somewhat manageable when stopped with the underspeed/overspeed spark correction, but coasting makes it pretty unstable (even after considerably lowering the IAC follower). I've tried playing with the VE tables around there with little luck. Artificially fattening the AFR around there with the TPS OL patch has made the drivability much nicer.
I also pulled some timing out of the cruising areas which seems to have helped alleviate some cam surge. Might have more work to do there.
I did get on it a bit and can see the AFR is too fat (mid 10's). I only hit it a handful of times at lower RPM and it immediately blew the tires off in 3rd around 4k. Gonna have my drags put back on, otherwise I should start planning my funeral lmao.
Got my 315/35R18 Toyo drag radials back on and have been doing more tuning work. Car has the juice to blow the tires off in 2nd around 45-50 without even really trying. The only way I could get these tires to spin NA was if I nailed it in 1st gear around 20, so I'm definitely not used to how hard it pulls.
Seeing 8psi @ 5-5.5k, so I'm guessing it'll peak around 11psi at the shift point. I'm getting some knock retard that doesn't happen all the time but it pops up around 5k. I think it might be some false knock from running it too rich on too little timing as I have it set very conservative (still feeling out the VE tables up there).
Logged AFR looks like this:
3k - 11.5
4k - 11.2
5k - 10.9
Timing and boost looks like this (actual logged timing and commanded, I have the PE spark adder zero'd)
3k - 26 @ 3psi
4k - 23 @ 5.5psi
5k - 20/21 @ 8psi
I'm gonna swap the WB sensor to the other bank and make sure they're the same and there's no issues. If it checks out, I'll start leaning it out a little in the tune.
