It was a cool Idea but they dont work.

You can get a rifled shotgun barrel.
There is a reason steel shot sucks and bullets are made of lead.
Either way, low brass and 20yds is nothing impressive, looks like their too long to cycle so single shot only.
Meh
It could be, but as said there is a reason the bullets and slugs are made of lead, so they can dig in to the rifling of the barrel and start the spin before they come out. the twisted grooves of those aluminum slugs had nothing to grab on to to make them spin, that is why they didnt work IMO. if you check the diameter of a barrel, you will see that it is 1-2 thousands smaller than the bullet or slug going through it so that it can force the bullet to conform to the rifling grooves and get it spinning before it exits the muzzle.
Make the round smaller and apply sabot to outside. Should start the spin and allow the round to continue its rotation after separation.
Just a thought.
Also, there is a reason 00 is 1.5oz at ~1200fps, thats a heavy punch to take.
Whats a aluminum sabot round weigh? Prob ~.7oz Granted it may be moving much quicker but the accuracy is shit so you won't be able to take advantage of the higher speed tradeoff.
Just seems silly, buy a rifle and call it a day.
These guys are jokers and do the stupidest shit. They did titanium too, and shot it stupid close.
You want the heaviest projectile in the smallest package(lead), Retained energy and best BC. This has neither. Why not make one out of paper machete.
Thats also why steel shot sucks. No retained energy downrange.
Throw a paper wad as far as you can then a rock of the same size, same idea.
There are rifled slugs that are very accurate for smooth-bore shotguns.
In other news, Josh Earnest has stated those exercising their constitutional right to buy firearms is "... both ironic and tragic." Yet when asked why he thinks Americans are buying so many guns his reply, "I don’t know, I really don’t.” He doesn't know, but it's okay to demonize something you admittedly aren't aware of. Got it...
