LTx Gun Thread

As mentioned above... and exactly where I was gonna go... OPEN CARRY is one of the dumbest ways of carrying. As mentioned, you make urself the first target which is not what u want... especially if u claim u want to carry for self defense.

A "badguy" will know ur the biggest threat and will hurt or disarm u first...and before u say they wont because u are carrying... they will do it when ir not expecting it.

99% of regular civilians are not trained in weapon retention during an altercation... we as Police Officers train extensivly because we are technically open carrying and we know that makes us the first target.

Remember, a criminal with no firearms, now knows EXACTLY where to get one.

I got a bucket of 3.5" 12# BB steel loads, not sure who would hurt more, potential perp or my shoulder.

btw, i linked something earlier regarding po-lice issued glock 19's in the 350 range from the aim surplus website. that is your best bet. problem is, due to current circumstances you will be hard pressed to get one for awhile.

Allentown isn't that bad. I worked down town for years. It's like any city, if you're not where you don't belong you won't have any troubles.

M&P shield is a great gun that can be had for around 450 new. I got my used police issue Glock 27 for 350 at a gun show. There's a few options in the 400$ range you just have to do your home work.

But... if u end up in the wrong area... it IS that bad. I was actually hired by Allentown PD. They wanted me badly to work undercover in certain areas of high Arab population...
