Remflex gasket
Remflex gasket
Any updates on this? Were you able to fix it?
No update, I've got the new plugs that are gapped (autolite 104 copper @ .035 per Lloyd) but I want to check for a leaky injector first. I don't want to foul a 2nd set of plugs. I have the fuel rail pulled, and will put pressure to the injectors with it out. I just don't have time to work on it.
Is it possible, that with the plugs gapped at .055 (a couple at .060) that it was not burning the fuel completely or blowing out the spark and that was causing the knock, or it was picking up a misfire that sounded like knock?
No injector leaks, all held pressure for a good 30 seconds until one of them popped off the rail. Time for plugs :crossing fingers:
I'm going to try and fix the exhaust as well, try to line the gaskets up better and use some permatex.
Couple other pieces of note. There was a ton of dielectric grease on them, and not just on the boot. I cleaned inside of the plug wires and uses very little grease. I'm pretty sure I used a decent amount of grease on the coil, which I just found out your not suppose to use grease on. Will take that apart and clean shortly.
Curious what wires you are using as well?
