This is what happened to the stock housings when they were tinted. They highlighted all the plastic blemishes...

Are those blemishes on the inside or outside of the plastic lens? Assuming outside and wonder if they could have been sanded down farther.

Outside... and it was sanded. Thats whats weird. They could not be seen or felt.

That stinks. I've worked with a few headlights where the plastic damage was literally embedded in the plastic. No amount of sanding did anything unfortunately. Are you tinting the new ones or leaving them as is?

Im gonna leave them alone... thats why i bought the already tinted ones. I actually like em better... they leave the part in front of the bulb clear... but the rest os smoked. I know they would look great on a black one... hoping they look good on a white one.

Well the headlight housings just arrived.... ill be dropping them off at the shop today. Full detail is also being finalized and she looks like she is brand new.

Cant wait to get it back.

Next step will be vinyl wrapping all of the interior wood grain with carbon fiber to make it a lil less "gramps" looking.

Also plan on having the engine cover and cai tube hydro dipped carbon fiber as well.

Amazing how normally the caddy is just my DD and i take it for granted. But its been gone for a month+ and i realize what an inconvenience it is not having it available, and driving her explorer sport is just not the same. Lol
