Ya it's always something. I was thanking moisture. But wanted to see what others said. Plus side I didnt hurt anything when I gutted the wiring:)

Lol you're a braver man than I am for gutting the wiring like that. I'd have to see a BUNCH of wiring diagrams before feeling comfortable enough to start a project like that.
