karl just let me know he is picking up the crank tomorrow. there is a small chance he can get it together, but if he runs into a problem, its not gonna happen. either way, we greatly appreciate Karl's dedication to trying to make the deadline, with honestly only having a short period of time to work on it with his very busy schedule on his end. He is a very meticulous builder, leaving nothing to chance, and we have the utmost respect for him. he constantly updates you on your build, and is very honest. hard to find that now adays in people in general. if you want the best, have Ellwein Engines build you a motor.

I saw u complaining about something on fb "spline drive" something... but not sure what the issue was.
Timing chain was too worn and gears were too worn. For anyone that looks for a spline drive timing set it's a nightmare, and expensive, so you're better off upgrading to the 95-97 opti. Well the cam pin has to be shortened for the early setup, now he couldn't get it out
Can it just be shortened if removal is not an option?

If you (or someone you know) can weld, just tack a 1/4" slide hammer rod to the pin and slide hammer it out.
Yep, that's it. No biggie, it's a little depressing, but we will move forward. Now there's not a rush on the car, and it's gonna be done 100% fine tooth comb, also, engine will be broken in on the dyno, and possibly gonna go with a smaller pulley from blower works right out of the garage lol

All ready for the engine dyno. Pro mod taking up engine dyno, once it's done karl will bring it over there and get this bad boy making or breaking something. Still waiting on lonnies double pumper setup. Now we wait.

Eh it's an auto car, 10 bolt should be fine. I actually never have broken one, wore out two posi units though, granted my hp level isn't monsterous but isn't exactly far off from your goal. Only went with a 9" because didn't feel like putting more money into repairing my 10 bolt. Both posi units were used, not new btw.
I've broke a 10 bolt with a 305 84 camaro.....
I peg legged one of my 10 bolts, but ran 11s at high 130s on it. :lol:

Who knows. .. 10 bolts are weird. I know a turbo lt1 out of chitown went 9 . teens at 150 Mph on a bone stock 10 bolt. His username was robsquickz28.
I think you'll be ok but then again I've seen them break at stock power levels so it's purely a gamble.
