You're running out of fuel. Either supply or pcm program.
My gut feeling. That big ass cam needs FUEL.
nitrous backfires typically happen due TO fuel, not lack of. the car is very rich when hot. which leads me to believe vacuum leak due to map values being higher than they were in may/june.
the worst case is a valve is tuliped and not seating fully causing hot exhaust to pop back into the intake igniting the fuel in another cylinder thats filling the intake valve/port.
that doesn't explain the literal "peter out" when it dies. i wish i had it on video in car, i slap myself for that.
i got the blms in line, tuner refreshed the tune, the entire ignition system less the ltcc box is new, injectors new, theres 2 fuel pumps running (why did it stall?) fuel pressure is good....
@Injuneer any ideas? ignition switch getting hot?

It was a gut feeling. Pop back through the intake is usually lean or late timing? I'm just going off of my old memory of problem/causes. Whenever you figure this out we'll both learn something.

Is it possible the fuel feed solenoid to the nitrous spray nozzle is leaking? Or even both nitrous and fuel?
anything is possible at this point, but it would be fuel most likely. thats the only constant between the idle rev pop backs at home too (no bottle in car) is the fuel solenoid.
we had checked that last time it happened by pulling the line off the nozzle and letting it sit in a gatorade bottle while the car idled hot with both pumps on, not a drop came out. but hood was open. maybe it didnt get hot enough?
its gonna be something really weird, because that's my luck (like the possessed msd opti revving issue)

I think I suggested this before.... heat soak in the fuel lines causing vapor lock in the system?
Maybe one of the fuel pumps is getting old/hot.... the outboard pump came with the NOS 5176-EO dry nitrous kit I installed in 1995 = 28 years old. The one in the tank is from 2000.
"the car is very rich when hot"......
Maybe... check ECT sensor(the one in the water pump), if it's lying to the PCM, it might think the engine is still cold when it's hot and keeping adding fuel.
