There is no way I found Cyl#1 TDC comp with any degree of accuracy so its still off. I tightened it all done and will adjust with another set of hands on board. I had unplugged battery for awhile but still didn't fire off right on first crank. And popped CEL.Quote:

Super excited to have it all shiny, big thanks to Taylor for helping wrap it and Adam for getting the shift cable adjusted with me. Almost back to DD status, hopefully drive it to work tmmr. 8-)

To continue the ramblings of myself, to myself. For any that remember, my car has always had a ****** tapping at idle and increases with load/rpm. First build I thought it was lifters but then it happened exactly the same with new build. Jumped to thinking its either lifter adjustment (it wasn't) or an exhaust leak (it wasn't).
So, after smashing up my hands for a couple hours fixing what wasn't broke, I started it up after adjusted preload to 3/4 turn on lifters, still tapped. **** this. Decided to take belt off in hopes I would get lucky...

That ****er has been on the same motor twice now and I never thought to check it. Wobbles like a mofo and I am assuming its tensioning abilities are in question. So, hope I can grab one tmmr and install tmmr night.
Stupid, ****ing little odds and ends that drive you nuts. Gah.
Fuk.... thats great u found it, but sucks it haunted u for a while. Uve gotta feel better.
