Made a temp patch to the hood and set the scoop on the make sure everything clears. Plenty of room now. I'm going to replace the chopped up hood with another factory hood with a smaller hole cut this time. :D

I'm going to try on my dads prostars that are on his camaro to see how they fit. I may even wear them to the shootout. But, time permitting, I'm going to paint the stock rims black and leave the machined face polished for now. When the right deal comes around I'll get a set of TT2 or crager ss. I've always loved that style.
I took a ton of paint off tonight and hit the roof with some primer. This old paint has deep enamel checking all the way to bare steel so unfortunately I didn't get very far today. I'm going to try and bribe my brother into sanding on it this week so it will be ready to spray next weekend. Reinstall interior and weatherstripping the weekend after that. Then swap transmission the weekend after that. Sometime in there I'll get the windows tinted too. Let's see....... that takes me to the week of the shootout. Cutting it to the nuts!

Going to be a series of short progress pics as I only have a few hours a day to spare with work so bear with me. Today I sanded down the previously primered spots and cut the back half with 220. I think I'm going to give everything a thin coat of primer before base coating, mainly so I can see where the high/low spots are and to help the chips and dings show up better to be addressed. Its hard to tell what everything looks like underneath black. I believe at this pace I can have it ready to spray Sunday night.

Well its ready to spray. Id do it tonight but the bugs are just horrendous around here right now. I'll wait until tomorrow morning and if the humidity isn't too high I'll let it fly
