If @MoeHorsePower gets back to me then him. I'm trying to read up on the major changes needed to go from 350 ci to 383 ci that are needed in the tune, in case I have to.
What about that chassis dyno that blackbirdws6 goes to? Isn't he from Jersey?
That's to bad. Do they do obd2?
How bout the place that did my car??
I gotta call them again, but I doubt we are gonna have time. We may run it just on motor for break in. No idea yet.
Tune shouldn't be that far off though. It was very safe before. Honestly, I think the pcv/catch can setup had issues, and that's why we had what happened happen, that and along with everyone saying it's dead etc etc because no one has faith in stock bottom ends led us to this. That motor was fine, it was a blowby issue that wasn't really an issue. Shouldn't have ran an open breather, especially with a maf sensor. Live and learn though. Should be a whole Lotta mean soon.
Really? Why not? I run an open breather.
Wonder why i have none of those issues
Taken from another forum :" it allows unmetered air to be sucked in the open breather and then it bypasses the MAF and goes into the intake via the PCV valve on the back of the intake manifold. If you want to run an open breather, you need to plug the port on the intake where the PCV connects to."
Albeit it's a small amount of air, but it does do it. I put it back before we pulled the motor apart and the blm's at idle were alot better.
My open breather is in the valve cover.
Yes, so was ours, valve cover leads to lifter valley, where pcv pulls from. Technically, you should run a catch can on the pcv then down to the supercharger inlet, and also eliminate the breather and run a hose from valve cover to supercharger inlet. Says it right in prochargers instructions.
Lol... well im goin on a decade of none of that... no issues.
If it's tuned with the air leak, it won't really matter.
He is in MAF land so even tuned, the motor sees air that it doesn't know is coming in.
In theory.
And hence, delete allll teh MAFs!
Yeah open loop speed density for the win. Mafs for wieners.
Run a header evac kit for your blow by probLems . Very effective.
That's stupid they tune obd1 but not obd2... why is that? Incompetent shop?
Take it there and tell them get it done. Not much difference in the obd2 to obd1
Well, just got an email i didn't want to get. Looks like it's not gonna be done, crank is still at balancer, something about he broke his drill taking weight out. FACK!!!
Anyone have a running lt1 longblock on the cheap? Only needs to survive 3 dyno pulls
Ouch. That blows. I know a guy with a stock shortblock sitting in his garage...
