There is another bracket on the back of the head and helps support the weight. Also that plate coming off the front of the intake has an ear that will attach to a mounting point off the accessory bracket. You can see it a little better in some of the earlier pictures.

No problem. After I get everything done I will go back through the thread and clean everything up and explain better what I've done. I've got another set of brackets ready to fab up so I can do a little better on the next one with the step by step

Ok theres an additional bracket I just missed it I guess, my bad.

Other than that, just one more thing, the plates are both in parallel correct? IE no perpendicular piece to prevent any waviness in the plates from the blower moving axially front to back. Just thinking out loud, inner engineer of me, sorry lol

There are some gussets on the bracket that bolts to the head. The plate that holds the sc will have a piece of box tube underneath it acting as a plenum for the outlet air, it may provide some additional support but not much. I know nothing about bolt loads or structural design so I'm open ears to any suggestions you may have!

Just read through this whole thing. Very impressed. I would love to have this for my skylark build. I have tons of space in there. If you build a new one put me in line for this bracket. Your doing an amazing job.

My only concern, and its prob unfounded, is that the plates provide good support if you load the top of the "box" but once you have a side load on them, there is nothing to stop them from bending/bowing. Obviously thats extreme to think they would visibly deform but I know how important belt alignment is with blower cars. So perhaps add some more support in the fashion of an X between the corners?

I see what you're saying. The easiest thing I can think of to do is add bars similar to the brackets we have on the G body alternators that tie the intake to the supercharger mounting plate. Do you think that would help?

A little more (less exciting) progress today. Transmission and driveshaft is in. I have ran the new fuel lines, but still need to put the tube nuts on and hook them to the tank. I have the new tank, fuel pump, and pickup ready to go in. Im waiting to install it until I get a nice day to por-15 the underside around the tank area. I also started the "alternator relocation mod" to see if I had had enough clearance and theres all kinds of room with the modified frame now. I threw a belt on for an idea of routing. I believe I will add an idler where the bolt goes that ties the throttle body plate to the accessory bracket to give a little more clearance between the belt. Here are some pics.

Thanks man. I've been trying really hard to make the march 24th deadline. The header snafu kind of took the wind out of my sails. It was rainy and cold and I just couldn't spend anymore time out there today. Hoping to have the new headers in Wednesday and possibly the radiator and hoses.

Also ran the fuel lines up to the engine bay. I'm putting the fuel filter on the wheelwell and going from there to the fuel rails with braided line. I have the return side done but ordered the wrong style supply line fitting and forgot a hose end on my last summit order. Damn ambian....

Thanks guys. I've got the next 2 weeks off so I'm looking to have this project done (or close to) by then. I have a pair of schoenfeld headers coming, they're supposed to be here April 1st so that should be the last thing I'm waiting on.

Looking forward to seeing this thing running. Did you decide to scrap the A/C?

Not yet. I'm going to see how bad the clearance is with the headers and if its just a matter of fiberglass, I'll just modify the box and wrap the tubes near the box in some of that fancy heat shield stuff. If worse comes to worse I'll try to relocate the evaporator. I've gotta have my AC

So far so good. Trying to do as much as i can while waiting for the headers and accel dfi. I got a lot done to the bracket today. All it lacks from being finished is the blower outlet pipe welded in and paint. Then I'll mount it and fine tune the final fit before adding the piece that ties it to the accessory bracket and drilling the rear bracket to secure it together. The intercooler and piping are due in tomorrow so I was holding off on pics until then.

Getting ready to put in (hopefully) my last summit order right now.

If all goes well next week will be dedicated to wiring and as soon as the headers come in it will be go time.

Working on tubing now.

I still need to get a 3" 45° silicone elbow for the outlet of the blower, a piece in between the two 90's on the inlet side of the intercooler, and a 4x3 reducing elbow for the intake but here is what I have so far....

no... but i may have my old procharger tensioner pulley at home...it was non grooved and tiny...if ur interested.
