I'm ready for Sunday. Also made some numbers with a magnetic roll from the craft store.

Car did pretty well and feels a billion times more composed. Was too lazy to break the tires in beforehand which is why my earlier runs are pretty hairy. Gripped really well by the end though, gotta work on the driver mod lol.

Hopefully I am not the only one who thought how the hell you remember where to go in that sea of cones?
It's really confusing, reading a course is a skill in its own right and there's so many different lines you can take. We do a bunch of course walks before running which helps a little. Other regions have bigger courses that are more spread out and easier to visualize, but the Philly courses are small and cater to little toy cars.
Looked like it was working great - sounds awesome too.
I know in theory, a big V8 car should do better on a wide-open course, but I always find I do better on the short technical courses where I can use the torque to exit corners quicker than the compacts. The "toy" cars seem to have a tougher time using their momentum advantage on courses where corner entry speeds are low.
I gotta get better at that now that the tires are really breaking in and I've aired them down a couple psi. I got discouraged from using so much throttle through tighter turns with how tail-happy the car was at first, so dialing back kinda hurt me by the end when the grip came in. Should've done some wicked burnouts before the event lol. I still managed to better than most of the novice class and considerably better than a GT350R on MPSS' and an Abarth Fiata on RE's so I'm happy. What's really strange in this region is that the ST classes are hypercompetitive and were generally faster than the SM and SP ones.
I've decided to throw a 35mm hollow Hellwig bar onto the front of the Hawk along with the 23mm solid 3rd gen bar that's currently on the back of my Camaro. It currently has the 32mm/19mm setup from the factory. I also want to pull my AC out, get lighter seats, and potentially a lighter battery if it doesn't hurt my wallet too much. Will try to pull out any extra weight I can that isn't super obvious. Next event will prob be mid next month.
Videos never do it justice, but when you walk the course in the morning, it's a lot easier to see where you're supposed to go. Plus the course designer is supposed to make the course "flow". I've raced with about 10 different regions, some are very good at track layouts and others will have cars going DNF missing cones right up to the very end.
