What is the driveability like with those 2.73s? I'm doing a T56 swap in my car and will probably be stuck with the 2.73s for a while. I'm probably gonna go with 3.73s when the time comes, but I'm just curious how much it'll suck until then. It looks like you're still having a reasonable amount of fun with it...

It's really not bad at all. The things i noticed is the traction is overly good, and it doesn't seem to pull quite as hard as i would have thought. Also of course 6th gear is only useful past like 75mph.
thanks for the comments as always guys

Cool. That's kinda what I was hoping to hear. From what I'd read on other sites they had me believing it would be undriveable.

Well we went out and had a blast today. 14 runs in all this was the fastest.
Gears still may be my next upgrade haha

This is still with the 2.73 gears?
A swap to 4.10s and that thing will be a different car. I'd say 12.8-13.2 at 106 or better, assuming a 2.1 or better short time. Good air today in NC, low 50s and dry...
Sent you a PM zoomo...

I can't wait to get some gears in it. I've been keeping my eye out for a used rear. People around here are real proud of then at 250+.
I also seem to really struggle getting any take off traction at Rockingham. But I can't blame them much I am on street tires.
I really want to pull down into the tqwlves eventually. That seems to be what a ton of these new mustangs, camaros, challengers are running.
On another note, ran a girl in a 2015 mustang v6 fastback yesterday. That came ran 14.1 and actually beat Me although I was a little faster she had an auto and got a good launch. Very impressive for a v6

I'm not sure why I never thought of this before but I did some searching on eBay and found several sets of used gears for 60-100. Looks like 7.5-7.625 are the same? I haven't done enough reading on it yet to be sure. I think I'm gonna pick up a set though, this is more in my price range haha. Anyone got any suggestions? Or a good set they wanna sell?

It's been a while since I familiarized myself with those rears, but there were 2 different carriers in them (series 1 and series 2) I think.
If you can score a good condition used rear with a set of 3.42s or steeper in it for around $200, it's a good buy. Much cheaper than a new ring and pinion and accompanying rear rebuild for your existing rear.
If you ever plan on going much faster than low 13s or high 12s you're going to need an upgraded rear anyway, which is a significant investment.

If I could score a good one for that price I'd jump on it but no luck lol.
I was thinking if I get a used set of gears worst case I have to buy three bearings and three seals. So I might end up being in it for almost 200. Though I was hoping that i might not actually have to add any spacers to the carrier or the pinion. Thats probably a slim chance though.
I agree with you on the time as well, iI plan on keeping this thing asy daily driver for the foreseeable future , so I don't think hard launching or upgraded rear is in my future lol but reaching for twelves sure is tempting *testosterone*

To bad your so far away I would hook you up with my old 3.42 rear.
