Catmaigne's "LolT1" Budget Boost Buildup

So true TDC ends up being 7.5 degrees ATDC +/- 1 degree when viewed on the damper and timing pointer.

I have a relatively small list of things to do this weekend which includes dropping the motor on the K-member. I will also be picking up a T56 and Borla catback from my friend's car to throw mine together quickly. This trans will need work eventually and the Borla is only a temporary setup (also need to grap a LPP Y for now). But if everything goes smoothly this weekend then I should be able to fire it up next weekend.

I may be able to make the dyno day if there are enough miles on the car by then. Also need to iron out all of the kinks before OCMD which is < 4 months.

@popo8 How long did it take to get the classic tag for the Impala? I know I don't have to pass the sniffer, but is the visual required?

Little delay on those Y pipes right now. Looks like it will ship Wednesday or Thursday so I'm doubtful it'll be here by the weekend.

I have the spare T56 and Borla in my possession right now. Pushrods and some small things are coming in the mail. Getting close :headbang:

Solomon did the tune just to get the car rolling. I'll probably have to do some tweaking... hope my aldl cable still works. Holding off on the 24x mess until I have the blower in my possession. Was going to have Moe do the 24x base tune but I decided against it. I need to buy my own HPT setup so I can have the same tuner do the 2-bar SD baseline and dyno.

Spark plug I'll be running right now is the FR5 (stock heat range). I'll eventually go to a BR6 or 7.
Pushrods came out to be 7.150". Kinda expected them to be longer.

Hope the Y pipe fits better than mine did. I planned on having one made anyway from the get go but it came with the LPP headers I bought. Admittedly these were older versions so I expect the more current stuff to fit without issue. I couldn't get the ends to attach to both headers.

I'll wrestle with it if I have to. XS Power just sent me the invoice for the Y today so definitely not getting until next week. Fighting the urge to start the motor open headers... I might cave
